UPDATE JULY 13th- Lake Texoma peaked at 640.75

UPDATE JULY 7th It's official, Lake Texoma hit 640 feet at 10:09am on Saturday, July 7, 2007. KTEN's chief meteorologist Alan Mitchell broke the news live on KTEN-TV just moments after the historic occasion happened.

At 10:09am, Lake Texoma reached 640 feet and began running over the Denison Dam spillway. This much anticipated event is only the third occurrence in the history of the Dam, with the others occurring in 1957 and 1990.

The Spillway overlook is still open, and Lake Manager Ron Jordan says at this point, there are no plans to close Highway 91.

UPDATE JULY 3rd. The current forecast crest on Lake Texoma is now 640.5 on/about 07/08/07. It is forecasted to reach the 640 level by 6:00 pm on July 5, 2007.

UPDATE JULY 2nd The current forecast crest on Lake Texoma is now 640.0 about noon on 07/05/07.
Pool elevation is 635.22 feet on Monday 02Jul07 Time: 1600 hours. THIS MEANS IT WILL GO OVER THE SPILLWAY!!!

July 1st. As of Sunday morning Lake Texoma was at 633, that is 15 feet above normal level which is 618. The forcast is for the lake to be at 639.32 on July 11th. The Spillway is at 640. What are the odds that the level goes over the spillway, I would say pretty good with rain in the forcast. As it stands right now this is the third highest the lake has ever been.
