February 2008 Wildlife

The Owl in the photographs ended up being an injured juvenile Great Horned Owl. He had a broken wing. When I got home I contacted the Blackland Prairie Raptor Center and arranged a rescue. I then met with Steve who is a volunteer and I took him out to the area on Lake Texoma were I found the injured Owl. Our little friend was taken to the rehabilitation center in Richardson TX.
