I drove 870 miles in one day down to Cuero and back. Left my house at 5am and got home around 9pm. I hope you think the day was worth it, I know I did.

G'day from Melbourne, Australia. Thanks for these breathtaking photos. I arrived in Texas on Easter Monday last year, and hardly saw any bluebonnets. The only ones I saw were in Wichita Falls - two lonely bushes - captured on digicam. I saw some Indian Paintbrush on Wichita Mts in Oklahoma. Outside Texas, in Louisiana, and Mississippi, the roadsides of freeways were covered in a seas of golden-yellow wildflowers - some kind of diasies. Well, I will miss this year's bluebonnet season, but hope to catch it in peak season, on my next trip. I wonder - can bluebonnets be grown in Australia. I brought back three packets of seeds, but the Aussie customs confiscated my Bluebonnet seeds! So I will have to buy some from Wildseeds Farm. Cheers from Australia.

I really enjoyed your photos. I've been planning to hit the backroads in my hunt for some stereotypically, beautiful Texas scenes. With the flowers blooming, I'm thinking of gasing my car up tonight-for an early morning trip toward the San Antonio. Two Questions: Are you shooting digital, or film? If film-what are you using? Thanks for posting-these are beautiful!

Ethan, The pictures are great. I live in Bosque County. The Bluebonnets are blooming in my yard and scattered here and there aroud Lake Whitney. Probably a few more weeks. Looks like a good year! Headed to Marble Falls and other off the beaten path backroads in the next few weeks Thanks for the photos. Carol
