2011 SSS Vallejo 1-2 (Just the 2)

The final race of the year for the Singlehanded Sailing Society is the Vallejo 1-2. Racers sail singlehanded from Berkeley to Vallejo on Saturday, then pick up crew for a double-handed race home on Sunday. As crew, I take the ferry from San Francisco to Vallejo on Saturday afternoon to join Tom on Dazzler for the race back home on Sunday. We enjoy dinner at the Vallejo Yacht Club, sleep more or less well onboard, listening to pattering rain, and breakfast before leaving for Richmond. On Sunday, 63 boats started, and all finished, eventually.
