Close to 70 skippers registered for the Singlehanded Sailing Society's final race of the season - the Vallejo 1-2. It is so called because on Saturday, the race is single-handed from Richmond to Vallejo. After a good dinner and hopefully a good night's sleep, the race back is doublehanded - if the skipper can enlist crew willing to make their way to Vallejo. This years, Sunday was dampened by a gentle rain much of the four hours we sailed to get home. Boy, did that hot shower feel good!
