Kevin - OK, I am the sister of Grant. My dad bought the '67 midnight blue GT6 & it was hit in the front end. So he garaged it & bought a white '67 GT6, taking parts off the ruined midnight blue one. I was driving the white one in '76 & got rear ended by a drunk driver, totalling it. So Dad garaged that one too & put the front of white car & the back of blue car together and painted it the light blue. I loved driving it around during college - it handled the windy roads wonderfully! Later my brother Grant bought a GT6 (also a '67 which he sold in '91) and used left over parts from the 2 '67s in our garage. He painted his light blue also and we attended the same college so it was fun when we would park them next to each other. One time a girlfriend and I were driving it in the Los Angeles mountains & the front passenger's tire rolled right off - some guy helped us put it back on. Another time a friend & I thought I had cracked the crank case - so me, being a girl, helped this guy take it apart & put it back together before my dad got home from a trip (you know Triumphs, always breaking down). I recall it was a seal. We all are so happy you have restored it. I miss that car & now drive a special edition 2001 Mazda Miata! Conny

There was a twin that I also owned and sold back in Placerville, CA in 1991. Kevin's car was originally bought by my father in 1967 and was midnight blue. I still remember the day. For more info on the other one feel free to e-mail me at grant@builtinvacuum.com.

Hello Kevin,

might sound a bit weird, but about 2 years ago I bought this exact GT6. And now i've found this site through justdrive.ca. We were quite amazed when we found this site...
The car is now in Holland. At the moment we are working on restoring it completely. The body is at a bodyshop for a new paintjob and we are just starting now overhauling the engine.
I was wondering about the history of the car and hope we could get in contact.
If you'd like I can send you some pics of it in its current state...

I see you must be sidetracked from your Triumph project because you have not posted any new pictures. I have the feeling though that you are likely still driving it around. I am attempting to sell another car on E-Bay and would love to have a comment from you regarding our prior transaction. If you could still post something to the E-bay comments it would be great. The sale was through miller008 on E-bay. Otherwise I can include a quote at the bottom of my new page. Many people are very cautious to purchase a car over the web.
