I went to visit some friends of mine that live a little north of me. They are both artists and their house is right next to a farmers land. They were harvesting the tabacco today.

Today, 9/23/06 I went to visit another family who lives amongst the farmers.

There were all these sticks stacked up. We thought they were the sticks they use to oad the tobacco onto; I walked thru the gate and across the cow pasture to get a closer look and they are tobacco stalks! Don't know why the farmer does this every year. My best guess is that he uses them as kindling to start the fires for next years smoking in the barn.
