Silver lip plate, keys, rings, silver surrounds around finger holes and tuning slide. The lip plate is engraved with the original date and name of the person for which it was made, "S. C. Pope". Previous owner, David Migoya, researched the instrument and provided me with documentation on Mr. Pope and his family.
I've just had a new headjoint made for the instrument by Colin Hamilton that really sounds wonderful.
Plays in A-440 with the tuning slide about 2/3 of the way out using the original headjoint. Really a gorgeous instrument. Plays well in tune and easily across both octaves.
Original restoration done by previous owner, David Migoya. Complete repad and additional restoration done by Katie Rasmussen at "The Windsmith" here in San Diego.
