The EX-S600 is quite small, about the size of a credit card and only 1/2" thick.
Its is crucial that the two cameras be as close together and in line to avoid perspective or image distortion issues. The software allows a lot of post-processing, but best to avoid any problems in advance.
The center to center distance between the lenses is about 3.5", ideally it should be 2.5" to match eye spacing, so you have to be careful when shooting close objects to avoid excessive parallax which would make it difficult to fuse when viewed. I need to do some experiments with angling the cameras inward for stereo macro shots, but the parallel lenses seem fine for objects farther than 10 feet or so.
