Visiting the Docks

Southern Vancouver Island

Finally, I caught these elusive otters out of the water and on the docks! We've been visiting this cove frequently and regularly see the otters in the water, but always seemed to miss their visits to the dock...today I enjoyed watching their antics and got a few shots of them too. Otter facts: Unlike other marine mammals, otters don't have blubber and rely on thick fur to keep warm. The otter's double coat also keeps it afloat. ~ Canadian Geographic

They look like very beautiful animals. So sleek and shiny, just right for swimming! Very nice shot. Well done.

FAbulous shot of these otters. They look much bigger out of the waters.
