The sun was beginning to set and the fishboats were headed home for the day. Chrome Island facts:
Chrome Island, just off the southern tip of Denman Island in Georgia Strait, is one of the Gulf
Islands located near Vancouver, BC, Canada. The first lighthouse on Chrome Island was built on the
east end of the island in 1891, with the present one being built in 1898. There are Aboriginal
petroglyghs carved onto the rock face of Chrome Island and twice yearly, at the lowest tide,
visitors can walk across from Boyle Point Provincial Park, on Denman Island, to view the ancient
carvings. ~ vancouverisland.com
