Cooling

Northern Vancouver Island

It may be the end of May and traditionally the off shore breezes still keep things cool, but there is a hot spell and birds, animals and humans are all just a little warm. This bald eagle sat on this snag, wings spread and was trying to stay cool just like everyone else. Eagle facts: Bald eagles have 7,000 feathers and their beak, talons, and feathers are made of keratin.
