Finally...I caught a Red-winged Black Bird in full flight! I've been trying to get one since they returned in February and it's just hasn't been easy, but finally worked out to be a right place, right time situation. Red-winged Blackbird trivia: These birds travel in large flocks and the spring migration in Canada is between mid-February to mid-May. Their fall exodus begins as early as August. The male red-winged blackbird returns before the female in the spring and leaves after the female in the fall.
