The camera was set up across the street on the roof of Biagio's. It started at 7:50 am (I got rid of some boring ones at the beginning) and took a shot every 5 minutes until 6pm when I took it down. I used an old Olympus camera...the timer feature is the ONLY redeeming thing about this camera, and I keep it just to use once a year...at stART.
The image is named with the time it was shot- military time, to keep them in order. So "1450" is really a shot taken at 2:50. The block party was a HUGE success, I have never seen such an interactive childrens activity (although I must say, plenty of adults were getting into it, too!). They played with these things all day- setting them up, tearing them down, over and over again.
If you look closely, towards the end of the day a giant box mosh pit was created, and a band was actually playing behind the boxes in the alley. A few folks snuck up to the roof, too, you can see them in a couple of shots.
Put the images on a fast version of a slideshow for fun.
