L.T. Murray Wildlife Area - Umtanum Canyon

These are photos from an April 2004 visit to Umtanum Canyon in the Yakima River area of Central Washington. This was a nice spring hike with scenery that varies from that typically found in Western Washington. There were some flowers out, lots of birds of which I did not get any pictures, and a nice sense of spring as you walk up the narrowing canyon alongside a creek. The photos:
