In late February 2005 I took a visit out to Shi Shi Beach, one of the nicer wilderness beaches along Washington's Pacific coastline. I used the shortcut to this beach which involves accessing the park from a closer trailhead to the North of the Olympic N.P. located on Makah Indian land. Conditions were dry but with the usual grey skies caused by a low hanging marine layer of winter clouds. I had some difficulty with the lighting and as frequently happens with this sort of lighting, I found that I prefer black and white versions of many of these photos to the drab blue and grey color versions. Regardless, these are the photos that I came up with:
Footprints
Cantilevered Bridge
Blown Out Sky But I Still Like It
Pants are Clean, Shoes Not So Much
Seagull
First Look at Shi Shi Beach
Rock Formations
U Shaped Rocks and White Pillar Rock in the Distance
