This is not the more famous Mt. Elbert in CO which is the highpoint of the Rocky Mtns in the United States. Rather it is an uglier version that is about 10,000 feet lower in elevation in WA logging country and is paired with a second summit named after the range. Still, it is a prominence peak and it made for a moderately interesting late October day in the mtns:
