The Temple

This picture came out a little more 2 dimensional than I would have liked. There was no way to get rid of the branch in the foreground so I had to just try to align it so as to point at the center of the photo and the high point of The Temple ridge. Kind of an interesting effect. The trees look fine in the high res version but are kind of splotchy in the compressed version shown here.

I think the apparent high point in the photo is Razorback Spire. Don Moody and I climbed it in 1951, after climbing Temple. Temple is actually higher, the next point left (west) of Razorback. The little spire on the left shoulder of Temple is the Candlestick, first climbed I think by Dick and Betty MacGowan.
