This was a great trip up to the Hidden Lake Peaks area on the cusp of the high North Cascades country in mid-July 2005. Conditions were completely sunny although quite hot as well, at least by Seattle standards. Unfortunately the logistics of doing this hike left me mostly with midday bright light and it hurt many of the photos. But this is one spot where I will definitely make a return for an overnighter due to the superb scenery and then I'll get that nice alpenglow and sunrise in the mountains with the white ice and granite spires and the like shimmering in more favorable light Until then:
