This is another lookout site which I visited in late July of 2005. Conditions were sunny and hot in the afternoon. This lookout is staffed still by the USFS and the veteran lookout Lightning Bill and his dog Shilo who welcome visitors. Good views to most of the Mazama Valley although the Gardner to Silver Star section of peaks was too hazy to be photographed as the sun was in the sky right above that area. The photos
