Harper's Ferry 2

West Virginia

From atop Maryland Heights, perched naught 3 feet from a sheer 600-foot drop. (The tunnel to left practically goes under this view.) The Potomac River is on the right, the Shenendoah River is in the middle, they both join and the Potomac flows to the left. At the bottom is the C&O canal and towpath, including (visible) Lock 33. The train tracks used to be the B&O Railroad but now are CSX. The Appalachian Trail goes across the leftmost bridge and into Harper's Ferry and crosses the Shenendoah on the roadbridge in the far distance.

Sony DSC-F717
7x2 panoramic. Each frame: f8, iso100. Circular polarizer used. Software used: Autopano, PTAssembler, PanoTools, Enblend, Photoshop, NeatImage. full exif
