Thanks to God,I had a great and joyous time at Christmas and New Year, and wish the New Year may bring you and your family, good health, happiness, prosperity, further zeal, and lots of good images to photograph. The mystery person you saw at sunset, and commented upon, could have been an alien from outer space, because, from the back, you could see an antenna projecting up from the hat and also, the terrain of that spot was steep and rocky with no stairs and even a mountain goat could not even dare to descend down to the ocean.

Finally, your latest gallery : "Verse a Day" is absolutely marvelous! It is a beauty, a joy and is very inspirational. I don't remember seeing anything like this. Congratulations. JARIS

They are 2 superimposed photographs : The first of a model of sailing ship with a red filter, the second of my niece Julie with a yellow filter . This picture is 20 years old, on "diapo" positive film .( My English is very bad, I' sorry )

Explication : The little house is in fact a giant lampion, the last year it was a Spanish galleon, the year bedore an Indian tippi . It is simply a question of making a large fire . Edith, thank you for your nice and lenient comments and for you interesser to muy images. Yes there is a mark of cosmetic called Vichy . There are alsospring water and minth teblets called " Pastilles Vichy " (délicious) There are also a fabric with squares rose and white or blue and white of the same name popularized by Brigitte Bardot . All that comes from the town VICHY in the centre of France, also known for its hydrotherapy since the Romain time .

Edith, I meant to answer your question about the sunflower petal but was so absorbed by your beautiful photos I completely forgot. The petal had fallen and landed on the leaf and that is why I took the pic at that angle. Thanks again for your kind comments.

Hello Edith! I am deeply indebted to you for the time you kindly spent on my images and for having left your mark of appreciation and approval on good many of them. I take it as a unique honor and a testimonial from a highly able and versatile photo-artist as yourself! My Las Vegas shot is that of a raging volcano and reddish water flowing all over the dome, and there is a fire on the top and below.

I lost no time in again going through some of your own galleries, and would humbly like to write a few observations: 1) You are particularly good in "Water drops gallery," which is very colorful and shows great closeups of water droplets, acting as tiny lenses and showing tiny images of objects with exquisite colors. 2) Similarly, you are good in the "Fruits & Spices gallery," with well composed and inviting images. I would think that here a tripod is quite essential, and you may consider the use of a circular polarizer to experiment with the idea of removing some of the shiny reflections off the surface of the products. A perfect exposure is also paramount, as always. Finally, I liked your "Madurodam-Den Haag gallery," where the architecture shots are par excellence. Best wishes. JARIS

pang international na talent mo!!!!. im happy for your chosen hobby. dream ko rin yan pero wala yata ako talent. ill try to have more practice sa digital cam ko. pero puro si althea lang yata ang subject ko. now im starting to read on tips for taking family photos para di naman sayang mga kuha ko na basta lang shot. whats the model of your camera ba? parang maganda eh? how much? digital ba maganda or manual? how to do the best shot ?give me tips ... o say pwede ka nang mag instructor.

Sayang nga kung andyan ako eh di ako na lang ang photographer sa wedding mo, it'll be an honor. Im actually aiming to become a wedding photographer pero ang problema wala akong ma-pagsanayan dito ng mga natututunan ko.. me konti akong friends dito pero mga married naman..:o) N'ways... kelan ba wedding mo? hehe malay mo dyan ako sa pinas by that time... :o) or puede din padalan mo na lang ako ng plain ticket.. then professional fee is libre *lol*

Hi Edith: It was your kindness to have so favorably commented on some of my flower pictures. The Matilija Poppies have papery white petals which, in the "country of windmills and tulips," may dance in the wind. In my area, I have been fortunate to find them in relative calm. Besides, I welcome them with open arms (widest Lens aperture) and the fastest shutter speed. You may try to hold them with the common clothespin.
"One maiden, 6 suitors": "The maiden" is the "female" part of the flower,the stigma, style and the ovary(pistil), which is pollinated and fertilized by the anthers from the male parts of the flower which are the several stamens. After fertilization, the seed is generated. My specimens had one maiden and 6 suitors!
Your own galleries are lovely indeed. For now, I will mention two galleries in particular: 1. The beauty of waterdrops. 2. Tulip reflection in random gallery. Best wishes. JARIS
