Krutynia

Krutynia river is one of the most popular kayaking trails in Poland and recognized as one of the most attractive ones in Europe.

This 99 kilometers long river flows in Mazury region, in north-eastern part of Poland and runs through fields, forests ad marshes, crossing more than twenty little and bigger lakes on its way. It starts close to Sorkwity village and ends in Beldany lake being the part of the biggest Polish lake - Sniardwy. Krutynia on its trail takes a variety of different names. Between the initial lakes it has no specific name, then takes some: Sobiepanka, Grabowka, Dabrowka, Babiecka Struga, Struga Spychowska, and finally - after the Mokre and Krutynskie lakes - Krutynia.

Mazury region was on the final list of candidates to the New 7 Wonders in the 2011 voting and finally lost with such great places as Amazon and Puerto Princessa rivers, Halong bay, Iguazu waterfall, Jeju and Komodo islands and Table mount but there is really a top attractive location for the people searching close contact with the nature, variety of landscape and peace in the middle of Europe.
