This one is for my husband. It is "our" song!!!
I have no translation, but it is about (two) people connecting.
This is also an overture for next month theme "our cultural heritage".
"De Dijk (translation: The Dike) is a Dutch rock band which formed in 1981. The band is named after the Zeedijk, a street in their hometown Amsterdam. Their music can be described as a mixture of soul, blues and rock 'n roll, with lyrics sung only in Dutch (except for the song 'Enough is Enough' from their latest album, it is sung with Solomon Burke). They are considered as one of the most important Dutch acts of the past 25 years." (Wikipedia)
Als het golft dan golft het goed
Niet te stuiten, niet te sturen
Duurt het dagen, duurt het uren
Als het golft dan golft het goed
Niet te stuiten, niet te sturen
Duurt het dagen, duurt het uren
Als het golft dan golft het goed
Op de mooiste zomeravond
Bij de ondergaande zon
In de hand het laatste glaasje
Niemand weet hoe het begon
Op de rimpelloze vlakte
Van een vlekkeloos bestaan
Kan het plotseling gaan waaien
Ook al wil je er niet aan
Als het golft dan golft het goed
Niet te stuiten, niet te sturen
Duurt het dagen, duurt het uren
Als het golft dan golft het goed
In de luwte van de leegte
In de kelder van de kroeg
Waar de vaten rustig wachten
Iedereen heeft toch genoeg
Op de dansvloer van het leven
Met een tango voor de boeg
Kan het zomaar heftig stormen
Ook als niemand er om vroeg
Als het golft dan golft het goed
Niet te stuiten, niet te sturen
Duurt het dagen, duurt het uren
Als het golft dan golft het goed
Als de akkers overstromen
En de gaten gaan niet dicht
Wil geen mens eraan geloven
Morgen wordt het toch weer licht
Als het golft dan golft het goed
Niet te stuiten, niet te sturen
Duurt het dagen, duurt het uren
Als het golft dan golft het goed

Great tones and movement in this image. I'm glad I'm not on that boat on the horizon line. The song choice is very energetic and full of movement also.
