The Japanese Garden is located in the Clingendael country estate a tranquil park and garden just ten minutes from the centre of The Hague. The Japanese Garden was created by the former owner of the Clingendael country estate Marguerite M. Baronesse van Brienen, also known as Lady Daisy at the start of the twentieth century. Due to the fragile nature of The Japanese Garden it is open to the public only for a short period of time each year, six weeks in late spring and two weeks in the autumn.
