We're trying to figure out what kind of beetle this is. I think it a type of Scarab Beetle. Let me know if you know anything about it.
It is about 3" long. It was found in central North Carolina, July 2011.

Found outside, thank goodness! Now, the kids have it at school so they can look at it with a magnifying glass in science center. He/She seems to like peaches.
