This gallery gives an impression of the wine harvest and production in the Languedoc, France. Most wine is produced in a relatively cheap way by using machines to pick the grapes and during the rest of the mass production. Together with the grapes the machines also pick many leaves and small branches. The better wines are produced from hand picked grapes, which gives a much better starting point for the production of a great wine. A great wine is the Mas de Daumas de Gassac, which is produced under strict and closely managed conditions.
