One of the largest sunspots in years, this group spans approximately 80,000 by 40,000 kilometers, according to Spaceweather.com. This photo was taken with a Questar Duplex and a Imaging Source firewire monochrome camera mounted on the axial port. It is a stack of about 100 frames out of 200 taken and was processed with Keith's Image Stacker and Adobe Photoshop on a MacBook. I added false color to this image.
