The glow of greater San Diego illuminates the sky behind the dome of the Hale 200-inch telescope on Mount Palomar on April 15, 2004. The dome itself is illuminated by the steady glow from the greater Los Angeles area. This 90 minute exposure was taken after the end of twilight with Kodak E200 slide film and a Nikon 24mm wide angle lens set at f/5.6.
