The commencement of 2013 here in Australia has been plagued by horrendous weather.. other countries all over the planet have experienced incredible weather patterns as well. Here in Oz we had floods, bushfires and snow. Our first holiday of the year began and ended with heavy rain and high winds. Our favourite venue, Hawks Nest, only 45 minutes North of here, is situated on a peninsula with the Myall River on one side and the Tasman Sea on the other. Fortunately, the delightful home where we were staying, allowed us to occupy ourselves quite nicely during the very wet days... reading, movies, suduko & embroidery. The Ferry ride I made from Tea Gardens across to Nelson Bay, happened on a perfectly sunny day, and allowed me to get some interesting pictures. A morning spent around @ Pindimar was also on a hot day... conditions were perfect for 'splodging' around with a couple of cameras as the tide went out, which attracted various sea birds. I need to thank two dear friends, Vivienne & Marion. Marion caught the Ferry across The Bay with me and Viv kindly took me around to Pindimar.. she sat and sketched while I 'splodged'. All in all, the 10 days we spent @ Hawks Nest was as always... varied, relaxing and ever enjoyable.
