I really like seagulls. I live on the Eastern Seaboard of NSW, Australia, where seagulls are simply part of our environment. Although these seagulls were captured out on Lake Macquarie, one of the biggest inland lakes in the country. The cormorants were sitting on the remains of swimming baths, long since abandoned. It was a treat to get these shots. It had been raining continually for a week, and finally we had a beautiful fine, sunny day. It was so good to get outside with the camera!!
Recent updates feature a flock of seagulls who discovered the whitebait we had thrown in the shallow water left over from our fishing off the jetty. They kept diving to retrieve it especially the pair with the young gull they were feeding. A great opportunity to capture some fine pictures!!!
