Some months ago I took a picture of this cottage while we were out on the lake fishing. When we got home and I was editing my pics I could see the name Iona Cottage next to the door. I was so attracted by the fact that the cottage was right on the water and tucked away at the foot of the ridge, that I suggested to two dear friends we have a "girls' weekend!" We have just had THE BEST time! We laughed our way through Scrabble, watched an hilarious BBC production of Noel Coward's "Easy Virtue" and ate and drank all those yummy treats we vowed we wouldn't indulge in again... for a while anyway! AND we sat on the end of the jetty in the sun and fished. So here are some of the pictures I took on the shores of magnificent Lake Macquarie. We were blessed with glorious sunshine, stunning sunsets and a marvellous fog our second morning. A photographer's paradise in a little corner of our awesome region only 30 minutes from home!! (The reason my Neil is in a few pics... he drove me out earlier than the girls, AND drove back again with my Tablet and Crocs I'd left at home!)
