a 'c' next to an 'l' ... I reckon that would be a poorly handwritten 'd' which then got misrepresented on the sign. Think the other way round - if you were to copy out a word handwritten on a piece of paper in farsi? I know that my attempts in Japan to write down japanese names of dishes on display always cause the locals a chuckle... :) this being Japan it was a respectable and stifled but still a chuckle. Same here I guess :)
