Oranjebitter is a typical Dutch liquor that the older generations still drink on 30 April each year. On that date we celebrate Koninginnedag: the queen celebrates her birthday (although the date itself was her mother's birthday) by visiting two different towns in the Netherlands, and the Dutch population celebrates the fact that it is a national holiday and so most of us don't have to work that day!
