Family Of Coatimundis Guards Their Territory, Arenal National Park

These relatives of North American racoon are widely spead all across Costa Rica. They are very smart and well adopted to ever changing world. In Arenal national park these guys guard in groups main roads every 2-3 km with very strictly defined zones of "business" and whenever busses approach they jump on the shoulders to attract an attention and get some snack. This trick never fails, LOL !

Cuando fui joven tuve uno en mi cuarto. Muy cariñoso e inquieto.

Very nice and well seen image of racoon. But I have to say I won't grant you the protection to this creature. I still like the image only. V
