What a stunning beauty! A great shot...terrific colour and detail of those large scales. Has an unusual face too,,,kind of bug-eyed ...but expect he was more frightened of you!

Amigo, I was about 2.5 m away on the boat, and shoot with full extend of my Panasonic at 432 mm focal range with image stabilizer. The snake looks big on the shot, but in fact it's just magnification, it's only 0.5 m in length, yet I would never challenge myself to get to it any closer... Still need to feed family, you know...
