I am not sure if Poe was struck by horrifying beauty of this damned place ( in his insane visions, of course ) while writing his novel or creating "Ashers Family", but my personal chill and trill comes from the number of innocent souls which were burned to immaterial substance on these forsaken chadeliers... Since times of that act all seven candles on chandelier were extinguished for all eternity and, certainly, could be lit once again only by true and superior power of ultimate bupka... Needless to mention that you won't find image of this kind in the whole Peru and abroad, as demons of darkness erase it every time right after picture has been taken, and the only one who could depict the glory of this haunted place and got away with such treasure was the evil himself... you know who... Oh, need to take my mental medicine, forgot at home...
Hello Eldar. This is one of those photos that have that strange, haunting and mysterious qualities that gives one the chills.... a very effective photo. But more important, it appears that you have found, in this photo, evil's diabolical center of gravity.... it is the place where the spiritual and physical world meet.... a place where dreams are both born and destroyed... a living death quarters for beelzelbub himself. Of course, if I am all wrong about this, it could be a very fine wine cellar. Recommended reading.... "The Cask of Amontillado" by Edgar Allen Poe. (Short story, only 10 pages at the most). Guaranteed you will find profoundly influential and enjoyable (in a creepy and horrifying sort of way) Ciao, Michael.
