Hi Michael, I find your comment most interesting...for lots of reasons..I see this in a totally different light. The light being Beelzebul's most feared enemy, the light of God..I see it as making him flee from this light. Just my opinion.....and I think Eldar is far from being the "evil one".......You haven't seen him with his kittens..:-)) A "spinge tingling" shot Eldar.. Brilliant and thought provoking..!!

Michael, I am sure that this, the very statue of devil himself in St.Benedict has been shattered in pieces after your essay was posted... It might prevent us from seen a Benedictian liquor ever again...For better or for worse... who knows...

O evil one, this is the review for which you thirst and hunger. Romeo, when he first called out for Julliet cried, "what light through yonder window breaks...." But what most folks do not know, is that it was Beelzebub himself who put those words directly into Shakespeare's ears.... referring to the light, the light which enchants the St. Benedict Abeey in Austria in this very photo. For it is from that light, a piercing, chilling, mind-numbing light from which the original evil one, Beelzebub himself makes his entrance, not only in the Abbey but from every unsuspecting glass of wine and every internet-connected computer screen as well, and corrupts all that is good, fair, honest and moral in the world. He seeks out the plain and the ordinary and makes them interesting, devious, diabolical, carnivorous and self serving. After making his entrance in intense light, He sneaks up on his unsuspecting prey, the pure of mind and soul, in the shroud of darkness. He is, as one poet says, the pure "evil who lurks in the heart of man." And all this said, it brings me to the conclusion: The real genius is not how you portrayed this purveyor of evil.... it is that you were able to portray him at all. More deadly and more dangerous than the Medusa, Beelzebub can not be seen by mortal beings without turning into stone, glass or rust. There is no doubt, this was the fate of Lot's wife when she turned around to witness the destruction of Sodom and Gemora.... this was Beelzebub's doing as well. How fortunate we are today, Eldar, that one has great and evil as youself had such power to portray the master of awe, Beelzebug.... coming to your local church, restaurant and tattoo parlor real soon. Holding my breath in anticipation. A Bolshoi zy gezundt. Ciao, Amigo, Michael.
