Jaques de Mole - The Last Tamplier...

I was always fascinated by the history of medieval Europe, and created this romantic portrait of the last Magistre of Tamplier Order when I was 18 year old and had enough time on my hands. Order of Tample Knights was once one of the most mighty potitical, military and religious formations in Europe, which played profound role in crusades for Jerusalem. Philippe the Graceful, one of the French kings, brought this order to complete annihilation, and the last mysterious Magister ended up on the burning stage...

As I said Maurice, this is just a "romantic portrait" with no pretensions to reality :-)

Superb.

From an historical point of view, this would evoke rather a teutonic knight than a templar knight who weared less sophisticated costume :o)

Sir,
You committed a slight mistake in presuming I had not opened this link immediately, I did...the comment was left only now, but the pictures was seen immediately after receiving your first and very welcome message....
It's impressive, a mixture of gothic and science fiction, I love it...
