Engl. Spitting spider Dt. Speispinne This is a very special spider. Its method of hunting is unique among spiders. The greatly enlarged abdomen contains special venom glands that can squirt a sticky venom onto prey. For this reason it is known as the 'spitting spider'. (cit.from the website Nick's spiders)

Once a year, I find one of these in my bath tube. The picture was of course taken after I had released it from there.
