Detail of one of the most controversial buildings in Vienna in the past years, the new Judicial Building in Wien Landstrasse by Neumann & Partner. The controversy was less because of the architecture itself, it is quite conventional I would say (will upload outside views in the near future), but rather because of its height. Another project nearby, the reconstruction of Landtrasse Station with four towers, was cancelled due to fierce protests by the conservative press (in order to preserve Vienna's status as "world heritage" - whatever this may be good for).
