Paarl, Western Cape

Paarl (derived from Parel, meaning Pearl in Dutch) is a town in the Western Cape province of South Africa.
Its the third oldest European settlement in the Republic of South Africa (after Cape Town and Stellenbosch) and the largest town in the Cape Winelands.
It is situated about 60 kilometres northeast of Cape Town and is renowned for its haunting scenic beauty and deep viticulture and fruit growing heritage.

I highly recommend the Paarl Mountain Nature Reserve nearby the town: a lot of indigenous flowers and beautiful birds along the foot paths!
