This gallery contains photos of Kalahari lions.
Kalahari lions are reputed to be larger than those in other areas of Africa, but it probably only seems that way because the males devolep majestic manes which are less tattered by scrubby vegetation.
They also be more athletically proportioned as a result of the long distances they have to cover in search of prey.
In the Kalahari a lion pride has incredibly large home range, usually 1500 square kilometres!
They have large home ranges because of the relatively low prey densities of Kalahari ecosystem.
