Härmejäärää näkee yhä useammin rehevillä niityillä ja muilla runsaskasvustoisilla paikoilla.
Laji on levinnyt äskettäin maahamme Kaakkois-Suomen kautta.

This longhorn beetle reaches a length of 10–22 millimetres.
It is mainly found in moist meadows from Europe to Near East.
Adults feed on umbellifers such as Hogweed and Cow Parsley as well as on nettles.
