The following gallery is composed of faces of FDNY firefighters from the 1970s and 1980s. These photos were originally taken with film, but have been recently resurrected and converted to computer photo images. The apparatus, the personal protective equipment, and the hairstyles have changed; but the job remains the same! This gallery will be added to as I convert more slides to image files, so check back from time to time for new (old) faces.
