Cambodia

Common knowledge about Cambodia is poverty, filthiness and civil war. In recent years, there have been worldwide concerns about Aids and child abuse in the country. Nevertheless, when I visited the country a few years ago, I found the people mostly good-natured, friendly and innocent. I first arrived at Phnom Penh and visited the Killing Field of Choeung Ek, Wat Phnom and Central Market. I then took a 5-hour ferry trip to Siem Reap and visited the Angkor Temples. Amongst all, Angkor Wat and Bayon captivated me most. In fact, you can only see such remarkable ruins there on this planet.

Food is roughly the combination between Thai and Viet culture. In particular, black spider is one of the local delicacies that I would never forget.
