Transport with Pentax istD

Yesterday Sunday September 18th was a beautiful day, so I went up to the Transportation Museum to finish off a roll of Fuji 200 in a Miranda Sensorex that Richard C. brought to me all the way from Groton, MASS, in July.
The film is now off to Dwayne's Photo in Parsons, KS, for developing, and I should see the results sometime next week.

Meanwhile, I was also carrying a Pentax istD digital with 18-55mm lens.
When the film ran out in the Miranda, I switched to the digital on my way back to the car.
Some results from that set are seen below. All are hand held with available light.

As usual, you can count on Ed, to get excellent pictures with what ever camera he is using. Detail, showing that kind of work on the train parts is like making a file of what is there when they were built. Great Ed.

I grew up 1 block from the RR tracks in Natrona. I used to count the RR cars as the train went by. And neighborhood kids played gumball on a vacant lot with the RR tracks being the outfield. Going after a flyball you keep one eye on the tracks and the other on the ball as you step over the rails. Called timeout when a train came by. Pleasant memories.

Richard, all tracks there lead to the single track tunnel (no longer in use)! This was the switching yard for getting eastbound and westbound trains through the single tunnel, until 1942.
