When I used up the roll of film in my Argus Model A at the Transport Museum, I switched over to my little Pentax Optio E 50. This is a tiny pocket sized digital camera.
Partway through my shoot, the batteries in the camera went dead. This will never happen with an old Argus film camera. Fortunately, I had a spare set of AA with me, and I was able to continue.
This digital camera has some pluses:
The batteries are readily available AA sized.
The lens is sharp enough, with a good zoom range.
Color rendition is decent enough that the images need minimal tweaking in software.
Camera also has some minuses:
It is power hungry, batteries do not last all that long. And when batteries get weak, camera stalls, with lens still extended and unprotected.
The lens, though sharp, exhibits a fair level of spatial and linear distortion.
And there is no image stabilization, so you need a steady hand.

It has been a long time since I had been there. Some of it is falling apart but your pics enhanced them.I like the Black Diamond.

Very good Ed. I hope there are plans to restore some of the old rolling stock. In the meantime, the rust and peeling paint provide art to your perceptive eye. Thanks.
