Spotmatic SP at Transport Museum 020715

The Pentax SP was a significant camera in the history of 35mm photography.
It helped usher in the age of the through-the-lens metering system. Exposure was set by centering the needle visible in the finder. All other functions were mechanical and manual. The 42mm screwmount allows for a huge variety of compatible lenses.

Saturday was a perfect day to be out and about, the best you can expect for early February. I loaded the camera (s/n 2973134) with a roll of Fuji 200 print film and headed over to the Museum of Transportation. Everything was hand held and with available light.
