The Orchid Show is an annual Signature Event at the Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis.
Yesterday we picked a good time to see it... a Monday afternoon on a frigid day, so plenty of parking and no crowds.

This year my camera was a Pentax K20 D.
Out of 201 images on the card, I kept about 30. Orchids can be tricky, and it pays to shoot them at multiple apertures and shutter speeds, then sort out the best.
The wide angle shots were with the addition of a front lens auxiliary Spiratone Curvatar Ultrawide, which with correct adapters can be made to fit almost any normal lens.

From the Orchid Show we crossed a cold courtyard to make a quick visit to the inside of the Linnean House.

Everything was hand held in available light.
